After updating Vmix to 27...

-The program crashes on opening project containing .Avi files.

-If starting project from scratch, Vmix 27 crashes when trying to import .Avi files.

In the meantime, I roled back to Vmix 26 to avoid any surprise crashes during a live event.

Anybody else experienced this issue?

Thanks in Advance

Sounds like there may be a faulty codec on that system that is causing an issue.
vMix 27 uses the latest .NET Framework vs 26, so there may be a compatibility issue there.

Please find out the specific video codec used in the AVI file and report back so we can run tests on our end.

Regards.

We've found an issue with MJPG AVI files. This is now fixed in 27.0.0.67

Update: So On Friday Feb 9 I was Livestreaming and Vmix 27 crashed during the stream, This never happened before with Vmix 26. I do not have a log of the crash because I was in a rush to quickly restore the stream.

Before that, I experienced the loss of all my stream deck shortcuts functionality, even thought the plug in was installed, the buttons wouldn't be recognized by Vmix 27. This was an isolated incident because I have another PC with similar specs that did no experience this issue.

My Hardware:
MB: ASRock WRX80 Creator R2.0
CPU: Threadripper PRO 5955WX 16-Cores 4.00 GHz
Ram: 128 GB 3200
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti
Input Cards: Decklink Duo/ Decklink Quad

Needless to say, I have rolled back to Vmix 26 and will not be updating at least for the next 4 months, or until all issues have being resolved or discovered.

Sorry to hear that, but currently there are no known issues as of the latest update and certainly not anything that would cause a crash, so we urgently need a support report sent from vMix so we can investigate further. Please go to Settings -> About and click Send Support Report and then drop us an email on our contact page:

https://www.vmix.com/contact-us.aspx

You can do this via 26 if you prefer as it will still contain system logs, but we really can't do anything unless we get reports of any issues.

Regards,

Martin
