Hi everyone. I did a brief search for this topic but could not find threads.
I am looking to set up my vMix so I can operate it from home.
Concert venue, looking to set up stream, and run the whole thing from remote location.

I understand it will add delay but wondering the best practices for setting up in DMZ or by VPN.

camera video will be on BNC and PTZ camera control on ethernet.

4k version.

thanks a ton if you could point me in the right direction.
pouring over the manual now, just looking for lessons learned the hard way to steer me clear.
thanks for your time

Hello. Yes it will be some delay in remote control. Personally im doing this sometimes. The A and Z important thing is to have a good internet connection. I have in vmix pc installed anydesk, rustdesk and parsec. Sometimes one work better from other. Also i have setup as vpn via zerotier app. My personal opinion is that zerotier is the best if you want to simple send a vmix api http command. Even if you see somehow freeze or slow picture over the remote control program the http command via zerotier will send asap.
Also zerotier is good if you want to have a return feed in your machine not so care for the delay. You can setup in vmix venue a srt output and then have in your home pc the free sd basic vmix version or obs and receive the srt for monitoring reasons.
