I just returned a 1000$ Fomako 30x for the image quality that was no acceptable for our live productions.

I'm trying to match the image (to a certain point) to a 2014 Pwx-X70 and it wasn't doing it.
The colors got close, even somewhat acceptable after some tweaking in the web interface.

But the general quality, the sharpness/focus etc., wasn't there.
It was pretty hard to get the right focus at 30x and that is the range and focal length a need this type of camera for.

Otherwise I wish I could have kept it. Web interface was decent ,the NDI,POE all worked out of the box.

I really need a suggestion to find a better PTZ camera with the same specs.

I will obviously double the budget, bit I cannot go above 2k-2.5k

.. and 4k would be nice , but 1080p60 is enough for what we do..

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated !

Thx

You could have a look at the "Everet EVX230 NDI |HX3 PTZ Camera 30x zoom"

"The PTZ camera features resolutions up to 1080p60, a Sony 1/1.8″ 12MP CMOS sensor, and an integrated 30x optical zoom lens to capture high quality imagery. The camera offers also multiple simultaneous video output options including HDMI, 3G-SDI, UVC USB and IP streaming."

I have played with it, has POE+, NDI, Visca IP (you can select between HX2 or HX3 via the web-interface), simultaneously SDI and HDMI output.
Listed on supported vmix PTZ camera's https://www.vmix.com/sof...rdware.aspx#ptz-cameras.

Indeed this is pretty much what I was looking for. Thanks for the info.

I wonder how good is that 1/1.8 sensor. I like the fact that it is a little bigger than the 20x cams.
