I'm hoping if I ask enough people I might get an answer. So far I have searched the web with google and posted a question on the ASUS forum but I don't have an answer to whether I have Resizeable Bar enabled or not.

My Bios should show an option to enable Resizeable Bar but doesn't either in EZ or Advanced Menus. The Bios is the latest available from the ASUS website. The GPU is a Nvidia 3070 so supports Resizeable Bar. I have the latest Studio driver for the 3070.

When I go into the information page for the 3070 it doesn't list Resizeable Bar at all. If I use TechPower GPU-Z is states Resizeable Bar is enabled.

All very confusing.

That's the software that knows.

Thanks for the responses.

Here is a screen shot of Nvidia Control Panel and GPU-Z with different information
GPU-Z and Nvidia Control Panel

The strange thing is Nvidia Control Panel doesn't mention Resizeable Bar at all. I have a Desktop with Resizeable Bar enabled and Nvidia Control Panel states Resizeable Enabled and before I enabled it it stated Resizable Bar Disabled.

I have searched the web for images of my Bios and how to enable Resizable Bar and I can't find any info about my Bios at all. The Bios doesn't have an option to turn on Resizable Bar. I have the latest Bios and I have also flashed the latest VBios.

Asus Help replied.
"The resizable bar option is hidden in BIOS for notebooks.
Devices that support this feature will be shipped with it already enabled.
Since GPU-Z is a third party software, we advise to consider the information displayed by NVIdia Control Panel.
If the control panel does not show the option at all, it means that this product does not have Resizable Bar."

Why would the Bios enable it automatically on Laptops?

Found this on ASUS support page.
https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1049974/

Doesn't explain why Nvidia Control Panel doesn't list Resizeable Bar though.

In the screenshot of Nvidia Control Panel you provided did you notice the non-standard scroll bars? Perhaps what you are looking for in it is not on the screen because of that scroll bar (yeah grasping here but a screenshot of PART of the information needs to be accompanied by a screenshot of the rest of the information).

Regardless, everything says it's enabled if it mentions it at all. Someone though does need to slap whoever decided to "hide" it in the BIOS, they could have simply enabled it by default and allowed the option to turn it off just in case the owner of the equipment needs it off.

Hi Roy,

Even if I scroll through all the Control Panel it still doesn't show Resizeable Bar. I have a A4000 on a desktop computer and in Control Panel it clearly shows Resizeable Bar enabled. I know it is working on my desktop because I had to down load a Beta BIOS as that was the only BIOS for that Motherboard that supported Resizeable Bar and until I had installed that and enabled Resizeable Bar the Control Panel reported the Bar was disabled.

Glad you've been able to verify it works.
