Elitebook 8530p, Core duo 2.53, 4 GB, Windows 8.1 32bit, vmixHD 14

Because of the RAM I'm on the line between 64 bit and 32 bit OS, so I currently run 32 bit Windows 8.1. I wonder, if I will get more performance with vMixHD, if I switch to 64 bit OS.

I use Canon HV20@1080p/30fps and Logitech c930@720p/30fps. Output file format: avi Cineform HD@720p/30fps. I get around 50% CPU load. If I switch Logitech to 1080p I get 70-80%.

I know that the system is weak, but it currently satisfies my needs and doesn't worth to upgrade. Asking just out curiosity.

Thanks

Hello

The problem is not if you must go form 32 to 64.
You are getting this heavy load because your Cpu cannot perform better and the grafic card cannot really help him. Even if Vmix do not always require much, this config you have will work better when you use it on SD production only. You can go to HD but it will require much from your hardware
You will get the same value even if you go to 64.
