Tweak:
Add option that includes the "-b_ref_mode 0" to the ffmpeg setting or other to the NEVC streaming selection to add capability using of 1060+ series cards directly from within vMix (for proper testing)
Would be a shame to discard the many good working production laptops containing such cards (until upgrades are feasable)

Please note that H264 is still fully working with hardware encoding in vMix 27. It is only HEVC that has this limitation as we need to ensure consistent encoding settings across cards.
HEVC is likely only ever going to be supported by YouTube Live (in addition to AV1), so this is unfortunately not a high priority to look into changing at this time.

Understand. our productions involve only streaming to youtube from multiple individual production machines (1->10) at the same time at the same event to same YT channel so saving some bandwidth at location while keeping/adding quality would be beneficial
