Hi folks,
I'm sure a lot of people use Replay events to export ISO recordings of multiple cameras in their productions. Unfortunately, this creates a problem if a camera is disconnected from the replay instance, or the SRT feed drops momentarily for a source. When exporting a camera feed that has experienced one of those issues, the export stops at the point of interruption, and a new event has to be made to continue exporting that camera's recording. To get around this for SRT feed drops, we're routing the feeds through Output 3 & 4. This ensures the Replay feed is uninterrupted, but has the side effects of additional load on the production machine, consuming those 2 Output sources, and limits the 'protected' feeds to 2.
If it was possible to enable an option to add black frames during export for interrupted camera feeds, (ONLY for export, not for the initial recording of the feeds) it would mean we wouldn't have to route our SRT\camera feeds through the Outputs, and would save us a whole heap of time when exporting ISO feeds from cameras that experienced interruptions, but giving users the option as to whether they wanted to enable it or not.
Some camera feed interruptions are unavoidable - battery swaps for roving\wireless camera configurations, etc, making black frame insertion on export invaluable and a massive time saver for these feeds.
If you would also benefit from this feature, please add your Plus 1 below.
Cheers!
