I have the Elgato HD60 and the Hauppauge PVR2 (both USB 2) and neither one works in vMix for my laptop. vMix and Adobe Flash Media Encoder did not recognize either as a "camera". I could use the provide software for each one and see the image just fine but that does not help me in vMix. I just ordered the Magewell XI100DUSB-HDMI HDMI to USB 3.0 Video Capture Dongle on Amazon for my laptop. Several vmix users stated on Amazon it worked great for them. Link: http://amzn.com/B00I16VQOY (Cost is $300) I will have this Monday and report back how it does. I will test stream it for several consecutive hours and see how it goes. For a desktop, I would stay with a PCIx card, but that is just me. Tim

Can you confirm?

I know I'm late to the party, but the Magewell XI100USB works perfectly. I have two for using my Prostar PM150 laptop.
I got an earlier version of the ElGato USB capture and it turns out it does not use the DirectShow driver interface, so it's not seen as a generic camera interface for use in vMix (or previously in ViDBlaster). The only way you "see" the ElGato products is to use their software, which, isn't seen by vMix.
