Waves SoundGrid Server with vMix

I would like to use Waves plugins with vMix, but my i9-7900x is already at 70% (50% taken with ffmpeg multicorder). I'm thinking about hooking up a SoundGrid server to offload the plugin processing. My audio is already XLR, and coming from an AI. Most of the configuration is outside the scope of vMix, but from a vMix perspective, is it just a matter of adding the SoundGrid ASIO as another audio input/audio device in vMix?
Does anyone have experience with this they would like to share? I've never setup a SoundGrid network, so a lot to figure out here.

I used Superack performer which is a $99.00 plugin and can be run on an external laptop to accomplish the same results as a Soundgrid Network. Depending on your Audio console the setup can be quite straight forward. It also works with Analogue Consoles provided they have an insert point.
