Found my small external script/app back to monitor a folder to sync with a List Input !!! Happy me after been unavailable (lost forever?) since a few year here Did some tweaking so hope it's good for now (hence 2.0 LOL) Use - Start the app and be sure vMix is running before use - Choose a folder to watch/sync with - Click "refresh Inputs"button to update the available list of List Inputs - Select a List input from the dropdown - Check/uncheck the "Enable Folder Watch" to activate/deactivate or resync the list Input with the folder content Only Add or Remove files within the folder. Do not add or remove items from the vMix List Input itself! They will not sync properly! . you can but don't complain Somtimes a video file cannot be removed from the Watched folder due to being in use by vMix (selected?) Only add list compatible files like videos and images (an excel file wont be good for example) , there is no filetype check build in Any bugs please report with details on how to replicate the error! WatchFolder.jpg (20kb) downloaded 9 time(s).File Folderwatch.zip (26kb) downloaded 113 time(s).

Works really great.
Only Windows Defender gives a threat warning, classifying it as Trojan:Script/Wacatac.H!ml. Running Windows 10 LTSC 21H2. I added it to the excluded list.

I have o such warning nor is it detected during a scan. found this though Quote:Can Wacatac be a false positive? Yes, a Wacatac alert can be a false positive, especially if you are downloading compressed files. If you get a warning from your antivirus software that a threat was detected, take all the necessary steps to ensure it is a legit threat or not. Never open files if you’re not sure whether it’s safe to do so.

That seems like it'd just be asking for trouble from people who don't realize that the watched folder would need to be a network drive that's identically mapped on both machines, then wonder it doesn't work. It can only check a folder that's available locally on the machine where it's running. vMix can only add inputs that are available locally on the machine where it's running. You can send the shortcut over the network, but the shortcut needs to include the file path, which is retrieved from the watched folder. Which means that the watched folder needs to be a network folder that's completely identical on both machines. For the vast majority of people who'd use this app, anything that's not local will just be broken.
