There is a Category Shortcut that allows you to switch between categories with a Shortcut(yes that was a redundant sentence sorry about that.)
Unfortunately User defined Categories are not included.
This makes them "semi-useless".
I have defined shortcuts for the First seven using both #'s and colors.
Since User Defined Categories are Black and you change the Color using just the number would be the only way that would probably work
Unless the Colors were BlackOne, BlackTwo, BlackThree, ect.
How does this impact my production Well now I can't Shortcut to several Categories which makes them useless for speed
Since I am using the mouse I can go to the tab BUT the point of the Shortcuts was to keep my mouse floating near Inputs, hit a shortcut, press an input. Hence the "semi-useless" status I put.
Ideally the User Categories could just use numbers and that would be easy to add. Unfortunately I am not a coder so we might have run out of Bits to actually just add this "easily".
Thanks for the help with this.

SelectCategory can be used for all custom categories. It was an oversight that this is not mentioned in the documentation but it has now been updated: https://www.vmix.com/hel...utFunctionReference.htmlThe value to enter is Custom1, Custom2, ... etc all the way up to Custom16 Regards, Martin vMix

Martin if you see this I now have a question about 'search' and if something is possible.
Search works for something I have previously searched. When I use Category with a Value of 'Search' then the item I previously searched comes up, perfect.
Now the question is how could I do a 'New' search. Is there a way to put Value = Search(New) or Search="New" or something like that. I have tried a few things with no luck as I have a feeling it only works for what has been searched and not for making a new query(search).
Thanks again for the help and I need to start using the vMix 26 help as I keep going to the old one.
