I've been testing Vmix (26.0.0.42) in a new computer at work (i7 11700/RTX 3070/16RAM/Windows 11) and ran into a major problem.

After a few minutes of Vmix usage (not streaming) the whole computer crashes and I have to restart it to get it working again. I investigated through task manager and sure enough I see Vmix using progressively more RAM memory and seemingly causing the crash when it hits around 9gb. I tested it with nothing else open and got the same results. Will upload a picture showing a 5 to 10 minute difference between Vmix memory usage so you can see what I mean. I'm very certain this is related to Vmix since it's the only program being affected and I haven't found other resources online giving a solution.

I noticed that the more things I have stacked up on board, the faster the memory grows. For example, if I'm on my standard configuration, with a camera, a video capture device, a sound table and a few videos, it creeps up at a rate of around 50mb/s. But if I just have a jpg open, it's slower but still growing at some 2mb/s.

I got the settings back to default with the menu button and the problem persists. I haven't tried reinstalling, but it's my next step.

Anyone knows what's happening?

Hi,

It is possible a faulty source can cause a memory leak in an app like vMix.
I would suggest running tests removing inputs and/or things like audio plugins etc until you find the culprit.

Failing that please contact support and send a support report when prompted for further analysis.
https://www.vmix.com/contact-us.aspx

Also note that you can click the > arrow next to vMix in Task Manager to expand it to show all the apps being used, such as the separate apps used for streaming
and browser inputs, that may help narrow down the cause.

Regards,

Martin
