Hi Champs,

I would be thankful for a little help...

I recently bought a Lenovo P360 Ultra i7 12th Gen, 64 GB DDR5 Ram, NVIDIA RTX A2000 GPU.

The Problem is vMix is not running as smooth as I know it from even less equipped systems.
I already learned in vMix_Settings_Performance I can see which GPU is in use.
In my case Intel onBoard whatever...

I also learned in the NVIDIA_ControlPanel_3DSettings I can select an App and can assign a GPU to the app,
which works perfectly with my notebook (RTX 3070, also can be seen in vMix Settings) but in the A2000 3D Settings this option is not available.

And after all I also learned if something doesn´t work it´s not that it doesn´t work
but someone is to dumb (me :-)) to get it done.

If someone has a hint, please.....

Thanx in advance!!!

Whoever might have thought about the issue, thanks but stop it...

The "trick" is with the Nvidia RTX 3070 the NVIDIA control panel
gets control over the administration which App is permanently assigned to
which GPU.

With the A2000 you have to assign it in the Windows settings.
Don´t ask me in which of the more than 2 graphic control panels in Windows
I found it in the end, but I found it.

In Win11 everything (energy, graphic settings etc.) seems to be smashed in pieces
and messed all over the place (what they call "System").....

I am thinking of buying the same machine for the same purpose.

Could you tell me how smooth your setup is running?

Thanks

Hi Videotech,

up to now I had the possibility to check only one vMix Preset which is a bit challenging for the hardware
and that ran very smooth.

One issue you have to have in mind is which IN/OUT card (Blackmagic, AJA....) you might want to use.
I think! a e.g. Blackmagic mini (4 x HD_SDI) can fit in the housing together with the A2000,
but that´s not verified.

Overall I am quite happy with the machine!

My experience is that vmix is unstable on systems with multiple GPUs.
If there is a built-in GPU, it is better to disable it.
