We livestream dance comnpetitions every weekend. Generally 10-14 hrs a day, 3 days in a row. We are currently using sony nx80's into a decklink duo in our production. Looking to upgrade the cameras and im not sure where to look. Preferably sdi output but not necessary. Any reccomendations? Thanks!

If you are still going to use the NX80s in your productions after upgrading, then consider the Sony PXW-Z90V. It can be easier to match camcorders of the same brand. The PXW-Z90V is about the same price, with a 1" CMOS sensor. Or you could spend a bit more an go with Sony PXW-Z150 4K XDCAM.

Whether you switch stick with Sony or go to Canon or Panasonic, get cameras with SDI outputs. Long HDMI cables are expensive and HDMI ports are not as rugged as SDI.

We've been converting HDMI to SDI through blackmagic converters. How do PTZ cameras hold u p or should we just stick with camcorders and build up?

We have used PTZ cameras to do similar duration swimming events and they work well for us.
Specifically SMTAV BA30-N and BA20-N which have NDI and 3G-SDI output. They look to be very similar (clones?) of the PTZ optics models.
We bring the video back over 3G-SDI and use the ethernet port to power them and provide PTZ control.
Generally we set them up to show a fixed view but the ability to set up pre-set positions in Vmix allows us to quickly move them for things like medal presentations without having to 'drive' them to a new view with a joystick.

The optics are not quite as good as the Canon LEGRIA HF G40 camera we use for our main cameras (using BMD HDMI to 3g-sdi converters as you do) and have a small amount of barrel distortion and occasionally the auto focus is not quite as responsive as I would like. However for what we use them for they are a good addition.

Older broadcast gear works well, runns all day no problems, stuff like sonys pmw500, 400 or 350s with a good b4 lens.proper three sensor colour cameras.
