I am trying to determine what the best video format to record in, primarily for the MultiCorder, to minimize system load.
I see that the documentation says to use the vMix Video Codec for this, but there seem to be two different, but similar, options in the recording settings and I am not sure which it is referring to.. There is the vMix AVI option that lets me choose between a few different quality settings. Then under MKV, there is an option for vMix Video Codec that has a quality slider. What is the difference between vMix AVI and MKV files with vMix Video Codec?
Thank you.
