I've just installed VMix and what I want to do is simply take more than one mp4 recordings, add them together then save it in a format where I can send out as a Podcast. For example, in Mp4 format, but when I try to save it, its creates a VMix playlist either Zip or not. It then won't play anywhere outside of vmix. I need this desperately for work

VMix is not editing software. You'll need something like DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere.
