Hello -

Forgive me if this question is in another part of the forum.

I have a project w/ up to 7 VMix Callers, lower thirds and moving backgrounds. I would like to copy/paste this project from the Primary to the Backup Computer, then run the project on 2 separate computers, 2 separate VMix accounts -- all at the same time. The output of each computer would be via SDI (BlackMagic Decklink), going into a BMD ATEM switcher - then final SDI output to a Blackmagic Web Presenter for encoding.

Will the VMix callers show up on both computers at the same time? My reasoning --- if 1 computer crashes during a live event, the backup computer would handle the rest of the live production (almost) seamlessly.

Primary Computer:
I9 9xxx series / 64Gb RAM / SSD drives / BMD Decklink / RTX 3xxx series graphics card

Backup Computer:
I7 10xxx series / 96GB RAM / SSD Drives / BMD Decklink / *** Future RTX 3xxx series graphic card

Thank You!

Having the same vMix Call Inputs on two different computers at the same time is not advised as the Call will be picked up by either one or the other but not both and there is no way to predict which computer will pick it up first and/or if one will bump the other off "arbitrarily".
In terms of setting it up as a redundant back-up, you may be best to exclude the vMix Call Inputs and then "Append" them if required (not exactly seamless, but should work).
