I'd have thought the extra cache would be good for vMix but possibly it is moving so much data around that caches might get flushed pretty quickly.

As for PCIe lanes, it is only 24 from the CPU, and up to 12 extra via the motherboard chipset so I wouldn't say tons. Just looked at a few X670E motherboards and most only offered one 16x slot to the CPU, with any other slots being connected to the chipset.

The new Intel Xeon workstation CPUs look like they may be interesting for those that want more PCIe lanes.
