Newbie here, and installed VMix on my laptop today.

All works fine, but I'm a bit baffled why my input previews are all squeezed, like if they are in 4:3 aspect ratio. But when output to a stream, it's perfectly displayed as 16:9.

See the screen, shot of my interface. Can somebody give me some pointers?

Not all of it, unfortunately. You've chopped off the bottom of the screen which shows what resolution you're using for the project. Could it be that you're using a format with a 4:3 aspect ratio? Maybe try setting up a new project which definitely has a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Hello. Go to settings-->display-->aspect ratio and check what you see there. If it says "normal" change it to widescreen

Ok, this worked - but I had to reimport all my videos/inputs to have them show up correctly now. Is this common for VMix?

Changing aspect ratio after setting up a show is extremely uncommon so it may just not be well tested changing after the fact.

Guess I have been spoiled (and not-so-spoiled due to stability) with OBS then :) Growing more fond of VMix every day now though ...
