Hi, I work in education and after using vMix out on location using another organisations rig, we're looking to set up our own mobile rig. Unfortunately the Laptop spec'd by our IT department for using vMix has Windows 11 as the operating system and is somehow not backwards compatible with Windows 10.... Aaaargh...
I've seen some videos of vMix running on Windows 11 without any issues, but my instinct is to try get a machine with Windows 10 as recommended, for the job.
What are the groups thoughts on the right course of action? Some of the streaming we'll be doing will be fairly high profile, so stability is key!
Thanks folks,
Mark

Martin and Tim spoke about w11 support during some vmix live show on youtube.
there are some issues in w11, some dependencies that affect not only vmix but many other apps, not vmix related... so, vmix team can do nothing.
if i were martin, i would do the same.

Here's the link melody is referencing: https://youtu.be/MMjzyfIL_UQ?t=1235They admitted they've been stuck using Windows 11 in a lot of situations because it's very hard to to find Windows 10 licenses anymore. But with Microsoft announcing they will no longer sell Windows 10 licenses after Jan 31, that problem is only going to be more common. vMix is not ready to sign off on Windows 11 due to the number of compatibility issues that could exist with motherboard, capture cards, graphics cards, etc. Seeing as how vMix has used Windows 11, I think the only thing us end users can do is test, test, test, and hope for the best!
