Just wondering if anyone can replicate/cure an issue we are having.

If I have a preset open that is running around 2ms render time and then start viewing two separate NDI outputs (i.e. preview and live) the revert tubes go up to around 10ms. If I view the feed in studio monitor on the main PC it doesn't effect the render times. If I view the feed on a different PC over the network, it does.

Seems odd that the network element has this effect. Any ideas why/any method of stopping it?

Local resources is easy. The data is already in the GPU available and can "just" be picked by different apps. This is different when really sending it over the network. GPU to GPU should give you the best results.
If you have some SDVoE toys at hand, they do 4k60 4:4:4 free of latency (a tiny tiny bit). But then it still has to leave the GPU and needs to be encoded. And the display itself adds a fair amount a latency as well. This will add the most latency I guess. This is a great idea for a NDI test video showing the differences.

(Computer/Display/GPU) -> NDI -> LAN -> NDI -> (Computer/Display/GPU)
vs
(Computer/Display/GPU) -> SDVoE Encoder -> LAN -> SDVoE Decoder -> (Computer/Display/GPU)

I have still a few videos in the queue waiting to be produced. I'll add it.

Are you saying you think that the SDVoE encoders are somehow better?

They are advertised with "zero" latency. The transmission itself I believe it. But there is the encode and decode process plus the display. The display alone will add latency from input to really displaying it in the LEDs.

I will need to test this out. I have SDVoE and NDI equipment, but no time.
