Here's the use case: auto-switching based on OnAudioMeterDB.
If two people are talking over each other, OnAudioMeterDB auto-switching can potentially bounce back and forth SEVERAL times within a second, which is jarring. What this feature would do is say "once OnAudioMeterDB 'takes' a source, no other OnAudioMeterDB can be taken for, say, 1000ms". Therefore getting rid of the crazy switching.
It is the difference between OnAudioMeterDB from being erratic and being a decent auto-switching solution. We are using vMix in a radio station and our third-party auto-switching software is experiencing issues. We've been relying on OnAudioMeterDB for a bit, but the 2-frame-and-switch-back moments are excruciating.
Adding a delay time to OnAudioMeterDB is a solution, but it creates a bit of a delay getting to the speaker which, when people aren't talking over each other, can also be a bit of a bummer.
Thanks!

+1 The way is now implemented not very useful. It would be awesome if there was a trigger "silence for x seconds"

What you really need is a Dan Dugan automix. If you mix two or more open mics it's more than just volume up down. What you really want is the same output level, especialy for radio broadcast.

One is the program mix with processing which we use on all clips. The other is a separate stream for each mic and the phone hybrid. vMix only uses these for switching. When two people are laughing and the reaction reaches the -18db threshold, it will cut back and forth several times in a second. The goal is to have vMix say "once I switch using this method, don't switch again using that method for X milliseconds". The mics are close enough in volume the auto switch works. I just want to force it to keep a shot for at least a second when it takes a shot.
