It would be very useful to be able to activate the same overlay in both the Active and Preview windows at the same time. That would make it quicker, simpler, and more accurate to use the Preview window to compose a camera shot with one camera, making allowance for the overlay, while showing another camera with the overlay in the Active window during a live production. There are currently some workarounds, such as duplicating the overlay setting with another overlay that could be used in Preview while the main overlay is used in Active (unfortunately using up two overlays for that single purpose), or using the grid in the Preview window as a rough substitute, or including layers into multiple camera inputs that get turned on and off as the overlay would be needed. However, all of those alternatives are more complicated and less useful than simply allowing for simultaneous use of an overlay in both the Active and Preview windows. Can this feature be added to vMix?
