I've had numerous occasions when a USB interface that has been set up in vMix gets "forgotten" and goes "offline".

I'm not talking about during a session, but between. It usually happens if the interface is temporarily disconnected or power cycled (again, not while vMix is open). The next time vMix opens, I have a 50/50 chance of all of my external audio I/O being hosed when that happens. This happens even if it's the exact same interface on the exact same USB port.

I am assuming it's because Windows is giving the device a new USB path/ID internally, and that is what vMix references. It would be nice if vMix also stored the interface/input/output names internally so in the event that a path changed it could "look for" the interface by name before declaring it offline.

When you have a portable system that gets plugged together regularly or a system with a LOT of external I/O, these cases can take down production while every input and output is manually reset.
