I have a problem setting up my vMix on new Windows 8 PC. The Program and Preview are very small, the inputs are too big for me.

All settings seem to be the same. Both PC screens are 1920x1080. Take a look below.

PC1 - Windows 7 - (like I want it to be) ++ vmix-pc1.jpg

PC2 - Windows 8 - small PGM & PREV, big Input ++ vmix-pc2.jpg

Any ideas what am I missing?

OK, I was looking for the answer in vMix for some time. I posted new thread to vMix forums and then... found it. Windows Settings.
Screen Resolution -> Make text and other items larger or smaller

Dziekuje bardzo!

I ran in to this problem too a couple of days ago when trying out a Surface Pro 2. Did earlier try to change the items smaller (as you hinted), but did not help. Now, when you posted this, I tried again. This time reading Windows' instruction carefully, and it worked! Beats me why the Surface Pro 2 had the resolution set to larger.

So, here is the procedure:

1 Go into Windows' setting for making text and other items larger or smaller.
2 Change to the smallest available (all the way to the left).
3 Log out from the Windows user (this is what I did not do the first time).
4 Log back in.
5 Check if it looks nice in vMix ;)

Good to know, that answering to myself can be a little helpful to someone else :)

In my case it was fresh Windows 8 install. The largests items were set by default.
But I didn't have to log out and in. Tried changing this settings on Win 7 and logging out&in was necessary there - not on Win8.

But I still hate Win8 ;)

Well, can't say I love Windows 8. But we've switched to it on all our production machines. Works very well. What you need is http://www.classicshell.net/ (to supress Metro style as far as possible).

What monitor size (inches) on your Win8 PC? I suspect that it was set to Largest on the Surface Pro 2. It's a 10" machine, and when set to Smallest it is really hard to read (but vMix looks like it should).

Windows recognizes monitor size? Actually, it was quite big TV ;-)
