Hi, we need to install a vMix system in a corporate network. By default, no internet access is possible for the system and the IT dep needs to allow every single connection. Port 1925 for the (outside) streaming server IP is explicitly allowed (and so far the only special rule). Does a normal vMix Pro license need to speak to a server from time to time to verify it's license or such? Is there a fixed IP/port we need to have IT allow access to, so we will not end up with a blocked system after a while? Anything else to consider? The system shall run 24/7, but only stream to the outside from time to time. It will mostly be remote controlled via HTTP API. Looking around teh FAQ and forums for "firewall", I only find posts with vMix Call problems... we do not use that.
Thanks Morki

Hi,
If you purchase a Lifetime License (HD, 4K, Pro), then vMix usually only needs access to the internet activate the license once. It may need to activate again after that under the following situations:
1. The computer hardware changes (CPU, memory, storage), or a major Windows update is installed (such as from 10 to 11, or from Home to Pro) 2. A major vMix update is installed (such as from 24 to 25)
If however you purchase a Subscription License (vMix Max), then vMix needs to check the license every month.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Martin vMix
