Hello fellow Vmixers,

We are doing a live weekly online show, and we have all our talent connect through Vmix Call.

Our host is against a green screen, and we just remove the background and replace it on the Vmix side.

To achieve this, we add a new image input, and layer the talent on top.

Though, when trying to fill a multiview, for example we want our host in Box 1, and our guest in Box 2, our host input doesn't scale properly or fit in the preset box.

As an interim fix we try to crop them into the box, but it disrupts the wide shot in some instances.

Is there a better way to be doing this?

Would appreciate any advice.

On a side note - Vmix is so versatile, and the community has been incredibly helpful both in the forums and through tutorials on YouTube, thanks everyone!

For a PiP feel free to use the layer presets and adjust in the layer window by editing position/crop the layer.

Lets assume you have input 1 and input 2 and add a blank shot as input 3. Then go to the layers in the blank input and select input 1 on layer 1 and input 2 on layer 2. At the right you see presets that will scale and position the accordingly. You can fine tune by clicking the edit button per layer.
But if you edit input 1 and crop that it will be reflected in the composition of input 3 as well. Sometimes you want to work with a virtual input of that shot to not edit 20 composites over and over so you might want to do the edit once which is reflected in the 20 composites.
"play" with it in a new document to get a feeling of what happens when and then create the layout that fits your needs.
