Hi,
I have a A4000 Nvidia card and I would like to enable resizeable bar. In the press release for the new A series Quadro cards it lists Resizeable bar as one of the features. I have a Asrock X299 Creator Motherboard and I have updated the BIOS and it now supports CSM which is the their title for Resizeable Bar. I have the latest Nvidia Driver for the A4000 and I have run Nvidia Control Panel and it state that Resizeable is off. I have checked the Nvidia and the PNY websites and there is information about how to enable the it on the GTX3000 series cards using a Firmware Tool but nothing about the new Ampere cards.
Does anyone here have any experience of enabling Resizeable Bar on a A4000 card and if so what processes did you have to go through to enable it?
Many thanks Frank

You may need to update the vbios in the card itself. Look up the card manufacturer website for bios updates to suit the card, NVidia updates won't help you.

Turnig on resize-able bar is usually separate from enabling CSM. CSM is required in order to enable the Resizeable Bar in the BIOS.
Outside of that, yeah look to see if the vbios needs to be upgraded.

it only works on some motherboards, and it is called different on a asrock motherboard. Z590 and up should have it. I did not have to upgrade any gpu bios, the only setting is in your motherboard bios, if it is not there, MAYBE a bios update to your motherboard will get you the feature. goodluck Nvidia control panel and bottom left system information will show you if working.

Hi,
Here is an update.
I contacted Nvidia developer support via a webchat and they told me that it wasn't available for the A4000 desktop GPU only the laptop versions. I posted on the Nvidia developer forum and someone from Nvidia got back and told me it was and sent me a link to a video for the upgrade on a different Asrock Motherboard. From that video I realised that I had confused between CSM and CAM. For me to get Resizeable Bar to work I had to.
Download and install the latest Motherboard BIOS which is a Beta BIOS Go into BIOS and disable CSM then the option to enable CAM is available
After doing this I checked the properties of my A4000 card and Resizable Bar was "YES".
Hope this helps others.
