Hi all, I have some very annoying problem, and I'm getting out of ideas.
I'm trying to stream from my studio in Dubai on a YouTube channel. If anything moves during the streaming, artifacts appear for all viewers; parts of the image just become noisy. It's hard to explain, it's better to see - it's easy to see on the background: when someone moves, the background is all noisy and blurry for some time. Same is with a presenter's face when he speaks.

My Laptop HP Omen:
  • Intel Core i7-10750H 2.6 GHz

  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 12 GB with Max-Q Design

  • 16 GB RAM

  • 1 TB SSD

  • Capture Card: Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini 4K connected via Thunderbolt 3

I have played with all possible settings: frame rate, resolution, threads, buffer - nothing works. I also did all recommended optimization.

Anybody had such issue before? Please share some ideas how to fix it.

Could this be h.264 encoder related?

In the Streaming Quality menu there are settings for preset and profile for the output encoder. The defaults would be "veryfast" and "baseline".

Maybe take a 1 minute loop of video where the problem is clearly visible, put it as a video in Vmix and stream with the highest quality of settings. If that fixes it, you can work your way down the perfomance ladder. Keep an eye on the GPU and CPU performance while streaming.
