Was trying to upgrade vMix 24 to 24 but was hit with taxes. Since I live in the USA, should I be taxed? Is any of the taxes go to the US government?

Our payment provider collects taxes on behalf of the jurisdiction from which payment is made, so yes, it goes to the proper government coffers from where it was paid.
