Not sure if this is a feature request, or whether I just don't know how to make it work....

Is there a way to make keyboard shortcuts work when one of the child windows is open in vMix? Specifically when the slideshow overview window is open for a presentation?

We often import powerpoints into our vMix, and the main "controller" will frequently open up the Slideshow Settings window to be able to see the slide overview. However, if this is open and has focus, the keyboard shortcuts we have setup for the presentation remote don't work - they only work with the main window in focus. Is there a way to define shortcuts for that windows, or to allow it to respond to existing shortcuts, or do I need to make it a feature request?

(Surely I'm not the only one to face this issue, or has my searching been poor?)

Hello. There is no easy way to have keyboard shortcuts when main vmix window is not in focus. The way to do this is to connect a midi controller or an elgato stream deck. Personally im happy with akai apc mini controller.
See also see this vmix video for more information

Some options:

- intercept a shortcut key with Autohotkey and let is "activate" a window/application
- Use httprequests functions (with streamdeck) instead

Neither of these are likely to be suitable (we already have a stream deck), given that the point of using a presentation remote is that the presenter is about 10m away from the desk...
