Hi all,

I need a new system for an upcoming job and while I have built a few edit PC's and Hackintosh's myself in the past, I just need a good system that I can carry out the door that I can fit a Deckling duo 2 or Quad 2 in, load up vMix and go.

I'd love something rack mountable but they are either hard to find in Australia or extremely expensive!

Looking at the HP Z2 G8 Tower : https://www.auspcmarket....-hdd-a2000-6gb-w10p-3yr/

It has a RTX A2000 GPU. I've always used regular gaming GPU's in the past so not really sure how these new RTX A2000's stack up. Looking online, there seems to be quite a few comparisons of the A2000 Laptop GPU's but not much on the desktop.

Any thoughts on a system like this or can suggest a better alternative?

The A2000 has 3328 cuda cores- plenty powerful enough for most vMix setups, especially if you're only at 1080p. (That cuda core count puts it between a 2080 Super at 3072 and a 3060 at 3584)

You could also search for anything along the lines of a "rack mount workstation". These tend to run Xeons so you'll have tons of PCIe lanes available for future expandability. One of my favorites for a budget is the Dell R7610.

This particular listing comes with an RTX6000 which has 4608 cuda cores.

Thanks for the reply. I have been searching ‘rack mount workstations’ and all the results that come up are $10,000+

That Dell looks great but it’s a very long unit, more for mounting in a fixed rack. I’d like one that I can fit into a rack case for portability. I could build one quite easily with a Silverstone 4U case but I just don’t have the time. Very few options in ready built systems.
