Hi, I work at a large company as a video engineer. My team uses vMix for REMI productions. I am always concerned about redundancy and started to wonder if the following is possible?

Using something like Docker to containerize vMix and then use Kubernetes to distribute it across multiple nodes on S3 or Google Cloud. This would ensure no downtime for productions as we have for on-prem shows where a computer can freeze or crash.

This might be a crazy idea, but is it possible and if so, my company would love to beta test it with you.

All the best,
Mark Anderson

Due to the GPU requirements of vMix this would be extremely difficult. Furthermore, the official Windows Docker guest containers can only run within a Windows Docker host.

If you're wanting a cloud solution you'd have a much, much easier time using a GCP Compute instance with a GPU (or an AWS EC2 instance with a GPU).
