is there a way to main the original dimensions of an image when bringing it into vMix? For example, If I have a picture that is 1280x720 and I'm streaming at 1920x1080 and bring it in why doesn't it come in at 1280x720? It always scales it up when i would imagine it would bring it in at its original size putting it on 1920x1080 canvas. I understand what i need to do since i have been doing it for years and that makes all my images PNG at the size of the stream and then my images are within that to maintain scale but it seems like it would be better the other way even if it was an option like it is in premier for example. This goes for when i bring in a browser at 1280x720 but it horribly upscales it to the output requiring me to size it down but even then I'm not sure if its corrects the way the resize works. why not have a relative percentage or something to make it easy for people to set things up across systems. anyway, I'm sure it has a very good reason just curious besides making all the images canvas size the same what do others do?

That is what others do.

Every time this is brought up, that's pretty much regarded as the top solution: put the images on a 1920x1080 background.

I think Zen might have an NDI based solution that could do it more on the fly, but there's no "easy" fix here.

Yes, the NDI Drag-and-Drop Image Viewer has this option, to place any image within a transparent NDI background of the desired final resolution, whilst keeping the original pixel size of the source image.

The NDI Logo/Bug Player can also perform a similar function, either on single images or numbered image sequences, and can position them within the NDI output (whereas they're always centred in the NDI Image Viewer).
