Every software I own, and I own many, has a ctrl-z or "undo" functionality. But for some reason, when moving elements in multilayer, there is no undo if I try something and don't like it.

What madness is this?

vMix has so many amazing functions. Why have they intentionally left out the most basic and useful one?

As a solution until (if) available a quick copy of all the positions in a layer can act as a undo function by pasting the old positions back in

My guess is: once upon a time it became too late to support undoing (ctrl-z).

It might seem trivial to undo, but in a complex app like vMix it is very very difficult. And if you (as a developer) don't (intentionally) build in that from early on, it soon becomes impossible.

Of course, it's a program, so it might be possible, but very expensive in terms of development efforts.

just my two ören.

+1

How many times have I wished that I could undo settings there... I would be fine with a CANCEL button that just restore everything as it looked like when entering the dialogue window. That might also be simpler from a SW-perspective - I mean then the developer "just have" to take a copy of all settings when entering and if the CANCEL-button is activated everything is just restored. Then other settings as color and other stuff also could be "undone". Just an idea.
