In this post, Martin explained why most Global Settings (the type that generally require restarting vMix to change) aren't incorporated into Presets.

It was over 7 years ago, but, for the most part, it still holds true & makes sense.

But there are some minor settings (which don't require a restart) that I think would benefit from being incorporated into Preset files.

For example, in a certain preset, I always want to see Output 2, rather than Output 1, in the "Output" window.

As it stands now, I have to change it every time by hitting the Settings cog & clicking "Output 2". It'd be far simpler & more efficient if it'd simply save that setting in the Preset file & load it immediately on launch, as it does with the other Preset specific options.

The same goes for something like the "Basic" button.

Especially with the new Preset export functionality coming in 25, it'd be helpful to be able to give someone a Preset file that will load the "Basic" interface immediately as part of the file, rather than loading the default & needing to have them locate & click it. I'm sure it probably functions as more of a toggle than a state, but as we move toward the moving & sharing of Presets, it'd be beneficial.
