Hi,

I work for an integrator, and in writing modules for various control systems, I would like the ability to periodically download images of all input, preview, and program views through the HTTP API. This way, I can display those on touch panels or apps native to those control systems.

This is a common practice for many PTZ cameras, that they generate and send a JPEG preview image upon HTTP request (frequency can range from once every 250ms to every 5 seconds), which is processed and displayed on a touch panel for confidence of the view of the camera, and to make the workload lighter on the touch panels, as a once a second or so JPEG image update is a lot less stress on a panel than a full motion video stream.
