Hi,
I tend to use my vMix for Live productions and I record events to replay during the production using the AVI option and the Newtek SHQ codec as it produces visually lossless recordings and also little CPU and GPU strain.
I have tried to bring these recordings into Premiere after the event to archive MP4 recordings but Premiere doesn't recognise the Video only the Audio. vMix recordings though are playable in VLC. I contacted the Newtek forum suspecting this was something to do with NDI 5 as with NDI 4 there is a checkbox to load NDI and Newtek codecs into Premiere. Their response was that they use .mov as a recording file not AVI.
Is there any work around that others have succeeded with that enables AVI files recorded in vMix with the SHQ2 codec to play in Adobe Premiere?
