Hi Guys,

Thought I would give people fair warning. I have found that Installation of NordVPN irreparably damages vMixCall.
You will no longer be able to use vMixCall at all, even if you then uninstall NordVPN, no amount of rebooting will fix this.

The only course of action that will fix the problem is a full uninstall of vMix and then a re-installation.

NordVPN makes vMix call unable to reach the vmixcall servers with a message something like "Cannot reach vmixcall server check your network"

Just a heads up.

Many thanks

OK so now I have a new problem and i dont understand it.
It seems that if i reinstall vmix and start using it, its fine I can add vmix calls no problem.

Then I reboot my machine and it now kicks up a problem that I thought NordVPN was the cause.

After a reboot i add a vmix call and get:
[vMix Error]

Could not connect to vMix Call server, check your internet connection and try again.

[Send Error Report] <-- ive sumbitted this
[Close]

Info window:
GenerateKey.GenerateKey
Unable to connect to the remote server

No matter what I do I cannot add a call, but, if I uninstall vmix and install it again, I can add a vmix call.

Anyone else experiencing this weird problem?

OK - got it.
So I have two VPN providers i generally use. NordVPN and PrivateInternetAccess(PIA)
I use these to test connections and stability before recording a VMIX call session.

I was trying to test out connections from Clients on vMix calls when i thought to use a VPN, I installed NordVPN, but at some point also tried PIA.
I had forgotten that PIA was installed.

IT seems there is an incompatibility somehow when a VPN client is installed - I am going to assume its the TAPI driver interface or something.

Bottom line, when i uninstalled PIA and rebooted all my vMix calls can now connect during setup, even after many reboots and testing

There is an inherent problem that vmix calls clash with VPN Clients for desktops.

Anyway, at least i dont have to full re-install my system, which is what I was about to do when i noticed PIA was installed.

Phew, bottom line, your vMix HOST machine cannot have a desktop VPN client installed as it causes vMix to be unable to contact the vMix servers when you want to host vmix calls.

Ive done some more testing, it seems that its entirely PIA that is the problem, not NordVPN at all.

I re-install NordVPN only and tested, works flawlessly and low latency.

Appologies to NordVPN, but it seems it's PIA that the problem, sorry guys!
