vMix is better for more complicated shows because of the following:

Ability to stream multiple different outputs

vMix Call for bringing in remote participants (up to 8, and you can independently control what each one sees. Useful for displaying a teleprompter feed to a remote presenter.)

Multi-corder: simultaneously record multiple inputs

Real-time animated graphics

Web controller - allow a second operator to cue up graphics or curate questions from social to display on screen

Robust scripting - if you have a very complicated show, you can automate a lot of your transition actions with scripts, and then assign scripts to hotkeys.

Audio busses - create audio sub mixes. You can do things like group all background music sources to the same fader so you can easily adjust them all at once.

Use audio busses to create virtual talkback - You can send a different audio mix to each vMix call, which, if combined with scripting, can allow you to set up a push-button virtual talkback system with remote talent.
