Would be great if we could collapse layers the way groups are collapsible in Photoshop, this would be visually helpful when building complex layered titles

And also the possibility to hidden layers by data.

A few options :

Use pages to setup show/hide layers. (SelectIndex function)
Responding to data can be done with script to select these pages

Using images for graphics allows you to change their visibility too
