Hello all. I'm using an old amplifier (Crate PX700) and speakers for music performances. I'm using vMix to record the audio and video. The video is coming from my t3i and works fine. I am feeding audio from the amp to my computer using Xitel's INport RCA to USB. The music is coming from a separate laptop to the amp which feeds to the main computer (with vMix on it) and synchs just fine with the video. But the microphone output from the amp to the main computer has a slight delay/lagging. I don't understand why that is since both are being fed to the computer through the same USB cable coming from the same amplifier.
I've tried using audio/video delay on VMix, but that doesn't seem to help. It seems as though the issue may be with my microphone input since the music is fine.. But I'm not sure. Anyone have any experience with this.

Try going straight from your amp to the mic input on your sound card. If that is OK there will be an issue with the USB interface you are using.

Try taking the mike in directly. Bypass the amp.

Well, I tinkered around with the Sound settings in the control panel and the latency is a tad bit better. But it doesn't last for some reason.
Now here's the weird part. When recording, the audio is out of synch. If you are talking or singing into the microphone with no music, then the audio seems to synch up fine with the video. But once music starts playing, the microphone audio gets out of synch. The music is coming from a laptop that feeds into the amp. The mic also feeds into the amp also. And all feed into the other computer.
Any ideas as to why there would now be latency in the recording? It's the same no matter what file type I record to.

Followed the advice as mentioned in the link I posted above and tweaked the audio delay to about 50 and now my audio is synching up pretty good.
Thanks for the help, everyone!
