One issue with sending video as a camera into a Zoom meeting is that Zoom typically favours frame rate over resolution. Screen sharing, on the other hand, gives full resolution, but with lower frame rate.

We frequently use a Zoom Room PC, which uses an NDI stream sourced from vMix as a camera. Typically we need to switch over to Screen sharing when the graphics is undreadable in low res (as most powerpoint presentations out of our control tends to be...). Zoom Rooms can use a Wired HDMI Screen share. So we have added a Magewell USB3 dongle to the Zoom room PC, which is fed with another NDI stream.

Whereas it is possible to manually switch between camera and screen sharing in the Zoom Room controller, Zoom Rooms also offers an "automatic mode". That is, it goes into screen sharing mode when a video signal is received on the Magewell HDMI input.

Now, turning NDI on/off for an Output in vMix is far more complicated, and very slower, than switching manually on the Room controller.

But, if we had a shortcut to turn NDI on/off - whow! Then we can have triggers to switch into screen sharing when outputting high res stuff.

Perhaps just wishful thinking, but sometimes dreams come true...

There's a Start, Stop, StartStop shortcut for SRT, but nothing for NDI.

I don't know if there's a technical reason for that, but, if it's possible, it'd be a helpful addition.
