Hi everyone, I just had to troubleshoot a very strange issue, and couldn't find any answers to my particular problem anywhere online. So since I solved it, I figured I would post the solution here for reference for folks in the future.

ISSUE

Transmitting NDI via vMix Desktop Capture via NDI from 16 laptop workstations. 192.168.0.1

Receiving NDI from master laptop via NDI Virtual Input on each laptop. router login

In main vMix all NDI feeds were extremely stuttery and laggy (by up to 30sec)

I was tearing my hair out trying to solve. Tried everything from vMix settings, to VLAN tagging on my switch.

The issue turned out to be a gaming app running on my machine called "GameFirst V" it's an ASUS ROG gaming app. I had no idea it was running (came with my MoBo). I uninstalled this thing and everything was running just fine (no lag at all).

SOLUTION

Make sure you check and kill all running tasks. Make sure you recognize all programs. Kill one program at a time and see if it solves it.
