Before I add a feature request and get lit up for missing something....

Is there any way currently to perform a crossfade on data change for an image in GT Title Designer?

The fade transitions are not cutting it - they fade to transparent before fading in the new image. I tried playing with various combinations of delays, etc. but nothing works. It appears that image objects in GT can only cache one image at a time and, hence, can't crossfade as two different images would need to be in memory to overlap for a period.

The same applies for text , it animates out and then animates in and each can have a different animation

Correct. I understand that is the way it's working.

My point is I need a transition where there is no complete fade out before the new image fades in - a crossfade. Half way through the transition both images would be overlapped (aka 50% alpha each).
