I'm still playing around with my idea where vMix can do everything on its own to save me manually working on the broadcast.
Right here goes...
I have around 60ish images with descriptions and VO all placed within a present, so far when I select an input number it loads the image, plays an audio file and displays a specific text from a data source (thanks doggy), all is working perfect, but I have new ideas, can vMix do the following (I have looked but couldn't see anything).
1. When an audio file has finished playing, load overlay and play an mp4, I have tried onCompletion>OverlayInput3In>video_file.mp4 - Sadly this doesn't do anything - note the audio is activated by OverlayIn>Play.
2. In Triggers for the video_file.mp4 is there a way to automatically load an image as an overlay once completed? For example: onCompletion>OverlayInput2In>RandomInput>Input Categories>Images (I know that doesn't exist but a good idea though lol).
This is my sequence when I click an image input: OnOverlayInput1 > gzip (viewers name, their photo and source) OnOverlayInput2 > gzip (image title and description) OnOverlayIn > Play > audio.mp3
Once audio has completed OverlayOut > Play mp4 animation, On Completion > Load new random image input > Load new random viewers name. This repeats until I stop.
Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks.

Something to consider: the oncompletion trigger only works when said input is in output or as overlay Quote:2. Thanks I've changed the way it works, now the mp3 is the main, then I've used layers to bring in to other info, works great. Quote:2. Looks like I have to upgrade to the 4k version then for the script. Thanks doggy.

Thanks doggy.
Depends, can have an external little app (script) do the same thing , would need to program an alternative for the trigger though by reading a input status from the API XML and send HTTPrequest for the functions
