Hi

Does anyone have experience with encoders that can guarantee this standard:

DVB Transportstream (MPEG2-TS) on ASI


Links to reference models would be appreciated.

So basically any broadcast level encoder should have that functionality.
You can start from upper level Ericsson/Mediakind, Harmonic (which includes Scopus and Thomson), Ateme, Adtec, Haivision, Matrox and go down to chineese devices like PBI, Dexing or similar.
Based on your needs you could take a look at some used equipment if you need SD or HD interlaced formats , there are plenty of them on sale.

I think you know it pretty well. What is this "ASI" actually?
So far we have encoded a live stream with vmix to the corresponding url address and stream name. What is the difference? Thank you for your answer.

ASI is an acronym for Asinchronous Serial Interface. It complies to DVB specs for transporting streams containing "MPEG2 Transport stream" (it doesn't mean actually MPEG2 compressed video, just the transport stream name is MPEG2). From the electrical side it is compatible with SDI using 800 mV peak to peak signal and up to 270 Mb/s data rate.
It is the most popular format used since the introduction of digital video compression, using 75ohm BNC cables to connect devices.
