I'm working on some custom controls for a show with several hundred slides / photos. What techniques are available to get at the page number of a slide deck (ppt) input or the file name of an image in a media library input?

One possible use case is to add this information to an overlay or additional input on a multiposition setup for our tech team monitor output channel. (Implement completely within vMix)

The other possible use case is to make it available as a string in an external app -- is there something in the TCP SUBSCRIBE api that would get me current slide / current image from the input ?

Can in many cases check what the input is displaying by getting this information from the API XML (http://127.0.0.1:8088/api) using scripting.

Say you are using LIST input the current displayed image name will be there as well as the list content and which is active etc , within the sscript one can then put the name for example in a title overlay ....
