1. What cameras can I use to get 240 frames? What are capture cards?
2. Is it possible to use SSM cameras (ex.: panasonic ak-uc4000) with 4 SDI outputs for SSM?
thanks 1 user thanked Radeon for this useful post.

Important to note that there are several cameras that record in high framerates but not output.

So you are first looking for cameras that can physically output 240 FPS but then a capture card that can actually capture that framerate.

In 24 I think you can mix and match framerates but not resolutions so keep that in mind. I think is still too early in technology to use VMIX replay for super slow-mo playback.

Maybe someone has some cameras and captures devices that make this possible now?

Yes, I have.
Panasonic ak-uc 4000 cameras + slomo.tv replay server. The camera outputs 240 frames, using 4 channels of sdi. In this case, the capture card uses the usual blackmagic.

I'm not familiar with the 4 to 1 capture input method.

How would that work in VMIX since you can only use one input per camera at one time?

This is why I am not a big believer in SDI for future proofing things. NDI or even HDMI seems better than running 4 SDI feeds.

So, I just looked up that camera on B&H and it's 50,000 with a lens!

If you are in that scope of cameras why would VMIX replay be a good solution? Why not go with a top-end system that can really handle Super Slow-Mo replay?

Nothing against VMIX but that's not really their thing.

In my limited experience with super slow-mo, even with the very expensive machines, you have to devote 2 or sometimes 4 inputs to a single slow-mo camera.

We are using a different server. I saw support for 240 frames in the vmix and it became interesting how it is implemented here.

Hi! everyone!

I think there is more camera can output 1080p240 high frame rate via 4x3G-SDI today.
And since VMIX v25, there is 240p can be select in a single input camera source.

So I still can not uderstand how to do to complate instant replay super slow motion via VMIX.
Is there any suggest for me? Thanks!
