Is anyone using vMix on say a high-end laptop (obviously for portability reasons)?

I see a laptop plus a small box on the demo tutorial on YouTube, but the notes do not tell me what is in the box.

Thanks,

Peter

Thanks... good quick run-through on the demo. Since I plan initially on using a Logitech 920 USB web cam, can I do without the Thunderbox enclosure and capture card? I also have an EzGrabber USB video capture dongle, I presume I can use that for a second video source from a video camera. Plus a Yetti Blue microphone for the audio, so I would use a powered USB splitter before plugging into the laptop.

I'm presuming the enclosure box was on the desk to show the equipment, as it did produce background noise in the audio.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Don't use a hub on the USB for video. Also look at the ATR2100 as the microphone rather than the Yetti

Ask...
I've also got a shotgun AT835b by audio-technica. Is that better?

What's the problem with the Yetti? It was recommended by the Streaming Idiots guy on YouTube.

Cheers,
Peter

Nothing wroung with it...however it is a condenser microphone and so will pick up a lot of background noise. The ATR2100 and ATR2005 are dynamic with better side and rear rejection. Also much cheaper. Check out mikephillips.me for review.
